Do you wanna know what sucks more than gaining 20+ lbs? Trying to lose POST-BABY Pounds!!!! Everyone told me that the weight will just melt off since most of the weight is just fluid. Mmkay sounds good...after baby was born I lost 20lbs, yay! What about the rest? Well, everyone said "that weight is just going to melt off the first few months of breast feeding. Ohhh I wanted to give up so bad because it hurt and baby couldn't latch right, but we powered through...6 months later, and....NOTHING!!!! So then everyone says "well, the fat burning time is optimal at six months...." Oookay? Now we are near 1 year and those pesky 20lbs are still hanging on. Yea, and we are still nursing, but today I'm making a conscious effort to wean. I don't want to nurse past a year.
I guess waiting on my pounds to melt off isn't going to work, so now I've joined a gym, started using my fitness pal and will be running with baby as often as the weather allows.
Today is not a run day because I refuse to run on Mondays. It's also raining lol. I really need a car so I can go to the gym on days like this. I think setting some long and short goals are always reall motivating for me.
Lets start with short term:
1. Run the entire neon splash 5k on march 13
2. Log onto my fitness pal for 4weeks
3. Drink nothing but water at all restaurants for 4 weeks
4. Only 1 soda a week for 4 weeks.
5. Clean house 2x a week
6. Lose 10lbs by may 1
And long term:
1. Stop wearing stretchy pants in 3 months
2. Fit into size 6 by my 27th birthday
3. Run Houston marathon in January
4. Clean house everyday
5. Lose 30lbs by this time next year feb 11 2013
6. Buy a wardrobe
Speaking of clothes, I uses to be a size 6, my ultimate goal is a 4 but for now I'm aiming for a 6. I don't have any idea what size I am right now, but I will say that size 6 fits like this:
I've got a long way to go....blargh...
